These are amazing stamps! I tried out a few, and each one was easily legible. For the money, you can't beat these. I would definitely recommend them. They did have some type of oil or grease on them. But it didn't rub off on my hands or my items. It just had the strong odor. (Which is not an issue for me). Also note* I haven't tried these on hard metal items. So far, I've just stamped on the softer metals.
very nice set .ive only use it on aluminum but it leaves a nice crisp letter . only drawback is there's no marking on the sides to show which way the letters should face. hard to tell because of color. i'll make a markon the right side with paint so i don't stamp one wrong side up. minor problem easy fix but other than that a great set
This punch set worked as expected. Used it to punch the vehicle identification number (VIN) on the steel frame of my RV. Used a strip of masking tape for alignment. Would buy it again for this purpose without hesitation.
These were perfect for stamping copper signs for my herb garden. I'm sure I will find other uses in the future. They are very well constructed and a decent size. I didn't want letters that were so small they are hard to read.
There are great for using to put initials, etc on my woodworking projects. They work especially well on harder woods. It's a perfect size also. I have some smaller ones that are good for the smallest projects but they are harder to read than these.

Nice inexpensive set. Light oil coating, to be expected. Used on aluminum and worked great. Seem to be pretty hard metal, hammer didnt make a mark on the upper end so I am thinking these would work fine on soft steel. Nice enough case, easy enough to make a wood rack if you want to spread out and organize. Satisfied!
These punches are heavy duty for their size. I made a heavy strike using two different ones with no damage to the punches. The imprints were very good as well. This is a good set to pick up for your toolbox especially for 16 bucks.
I used these for pottery and really liked them. Would work well for jewelry too, which is probably the intended purpose. Some of the letters are just slightly cut off, but I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I also didn't have problems with rusting, but other people sometimes put oil on them. Definitely high quality. Could probably use these for a lot of different things because they are so high quality. Good for crafting.
Perfect for making permanent tags for garden plants. I used them on aluminum tags. Of course nothing is ever permanent in the garden, so some of the tags will become obsolete. I haven't tried pounding out one name on a tag so I could stamp another name, but I'm sure it will come to that.
I used these for making fishing stringers for my brother and myself to use on boats in Destin, Florida. These are very easy to use and it did take a few strikes to get the pressure just right, I used a 1 pound hammer. I also used tape as a guide to line the letters and numbers up. making a straight line. The stringers are made of aluminum bar stock.
