When I first discoverd there was such a thing as a magnetic clasps for necklaces, I was thrilled. Not just because I have arthritis in my hands and fingers but because I've never been able to fasten a necklace due to having very large hands, with long fingers, but fingers that don't come to a rounded point on the ends. They have always been strong hands and have never prevented me from doing all kinds of crafts and needlework, sewing and the like, but I couldn't clasps a necklace on myself!
When I found magnetic clasps, I went wild, buying myself all kinds of Sterling silver chains and pendants! Alas, the magnetic clasps I bought, were not Sterling silver and they have turned a dark grey, and they look terrible on my necklaces. I decided to try buying this package of rather small clasps. When they fist arrived, I thought they had no clasps on one end but that was because of the way the three clasps bags were attached to each other.
I even started a return on them.
Imagine my surprise, when I went back to look at them online and saw what they were supposed to look like! I then took each bag apart and looked at them more carefully. They are exactly what I wanted! Sterling silver clasps, almost as small as the original clasps that come on necklaces, that still have strong magnets on them. They attach easily, without the use of a magnifying glass, and they are absolutely what I wanted!
Thank you for packaging them so nicely, in a box, Sabrina jewelry, and thank you for realizing that when we buy a Sterling silver chain, we want our clasps to be Sterling silver, as well.
I highly recommend these to anyone in the market for magnetic clasps. Go for the Sterling Silver and don't waste your money on the others; they aren't worth it!
Purchased these for my mother who has Parkinson's disease, when she found it too difficult to work necklace clasps. Now she can wear her favorite necklaces again. They are not so heavy that they weigh the necklace down but the magnets are very strong. Great product and fast shipping.
These worked perfectly on my mothers chain. These magnets really hold. Like others who had bought other clips who do not hold together well, these will. These also match the sterling silver necklaces perfectly. I highly rate the product.
I wish the magnets were larger, but they do look nice and have held up so far. I wouldn't recommend this size for particularly heavy necklaces - instead, I'd get a stronger magnet set. But for most necklaces and bracelets, this size is fine. I've converted all my necklaces to magnet sets b/c they are so much easier to put on and off.
This is my second order of these magnets. I love them! I have been ordering different types of magnetic closers for years - but they are always so heavy they end up in front and look awful. They are also irritating to my skin because they are made of mystery metals. I end up with a rash which also looks awful. I tried coating them with clear nail polish but it does not work. These are sterling silver and light weight but strong. I have not tried them with heavy bead necklaces but you can give them a try. I highly recommend these magnets. they are a blessing.

Magnetic Clasps are great for people who have long nails, arthritic or otherwise have difficulty using the regular jewelry clasps. That is if they do what they promise; not lose your necklaces, turn your neck green or cause allergies. This clasp is Sterling Silver with very powerful magnets Made in in the USA, and much better quality and finish than that of competing look-alikes. They can be attached (or detached) to just about any necklace quickly and easily. The only word of caution is that, the heat from boiling water (150F or above) will diminish the strength of the magnets, so its best to detach them before cleaning your jewelry in ultrasonic cleaners. This Clasp is the smallest magnetic clasp we carry, but you will still be amazed at how strong they are.
Pros:
Tiny in size but with very strong magnets. Thanks to their size their weight is very light and they don't tend to roll around the necklace chain and show up in front or pull the chain backward and strangle you like the other bigger and heavier magnets do.
Cons:
I am going to mention that their size might be disadvantage for some to get them attached to the necklace chain but since this is one time operation i don't think it should be called a main issue.
Highly recommend them.
These are a Godsend for people with arthritis! I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Carpal Tunnel and have no feeling in my fingers. It's impossible to put on necklaces. I had my brother attach these to my necklaces. He did have to pinch the circle links closed more because one came undone and I nearly lost a necklace. To remove the necklace, I recommend turning it around so the clasp is in front. Look in the mirror, hold the clasp firmly near the magnets instead of blindly tugging on the necklace behind your head. If you have to, pick up some extra links at Joann's or a craft store that may be stronger. Then have someone with good dexterity attach those for you. I love these so much that I'm purchasing some for my 85 year old mother, who also has arthritis.
I have to admit that I had to ask my daughter to attach these to a few of my favorite necklaces. Now I have 3 more necklaces that I can wear any time I want to despite my lingering paralysis and arthritis! This makes me very happy!
These are absolutely wonderful. They are very small, perfectly unobtrusive for your finest chains. Actually they are the same clasps that I paid $15 per chain to have my jeweler put a magnetic clasp on some pearls. I will never buy another brand of clasp and I will never have to go to the jeweler again to care for my necklaces. I am ordering 3 more sets today.
I purchased both the gold and the silver varieties and they work great. These are 4mm so rather small for your delicate chains and pendants. Buy a larger size if you have anything heavy. I have heavier types for bracelets and sturdy chains. I am enjoying these small ones. I've purchased a number of items from Sabrina Silver and have always been satisfied. Good job! Thank you!
