I did not rate the durability because it the product has not been tested with wear but it is very strong. I used this chain to hang costume jewelry pendants. The appearance is that of silver plate but being stainless steel I expect it to last and wear well and it looks great. I especially like that it comes on a spool that makes it easy to work without tangling.
