This seems like a very good value for the price. I'd give it a 5 star except for the fact that I've not tried any of the other magnifiers and have nothing else to compare it to.The old adage that you get what you paid for may still be true, but apparently manufacturing techniques have improved enough that you're getting more than you used to get.

This loupe is exquisite. I immediately opened it and looked into a few samples of Quartz (Amethyst, Rose and Clear) in conjunction with a 10X loupe that I purchased. I am very pleased at the durability.
I use this for looking at rocks and minerals in the field and the lab. I prefer larger loupes and this is perfect. I've had it for over a year and it has survived some wild terrain and quite a few drops.
Works fine, no complaints.
