I bought this because I was tired of the overpriced pet tags you buy at the pet store only for it to wear off. I bought a nice tag from the county fair last year and the engraving was amazing. Deep and long lasting. I wanted something of the same effect so I thought maybe I could do it myself. I was unsure of how this would turn out but gave it a shot.. it was like buying 2 tags from petco.
Once I got the alignment down a little better (was having issue with the snapmat feature on the cricut app so I had to guesstimate its position) it came out great! The engraving was deep and you can feel the metal carving when you touch it.
I used permanent double sided tape in an old cricut mat, places the tag on it and cut it on the Light Chipboard setting with more pressure. I used a skinny system font and viola!!
Can’t wait to make other things!!
It works, but you will have to rig your mat to avoid shift. I would love it if it fit in the cut section instead of haveing to take out the "pen holder" every time, but like I said after figuring out how to affix it to the mat ( duck tape boarder worked) and making sure I had the heart in the right place on the mat I was able to engrave a circle on the heart with my cricut explore Air. I haven't tried with the larger disks and dog tags because I needed to take a step back, and I didn't want to waste the ones I actually liked for practice. I watched a few YouTube tutorials and I feel like I was not prepared enough for how much effort I would need to put in to stabilizeing, even with a heavy grip matt. If you are a patient crafter and love a challenge than this would be fun. For me it was a bit of an excersize in trying not to cuss (loudly). To be fair when i figured everything out it did work well.
worked out great with my cricut! I was super happy about this!
Happy this included samples to test out!
Worked like it was suppose too

Metal Cutting Blade for Cricut maker. I have not tried it yet. But am anxious to try it.
Cutter works well. Count on buying some double-sided tape, unless your mat is new.
Have etched a lot of things and love this little tool! One of the best discoveries I have found for my Cricut Maker!
Wow I love this tool. It works as described and you can tell it's high quality by the weight and material its made from. I can see myself using this for a long time.
Love this for my Maker! It completed my collection of blades.
