I am a high school art teacher and my kiln worked great until the last week of the semester when it decided to quit working because I needed to replace this part. I checked the Amazon website (because they have everything), found the part, ordered 2 of them ( 1 for now and 1 spare) and a few days later we have a working kiln again. I thought I was going to have to buy a new kiln, Or ship back to Skutt or find someone to repair my kiln, My kiln error code was thermocoupler so I figured I'd try it myself for less thuan $25 bucks for the part, With the included instructions a Phillips screwdriver and less than 10 minutes of my time, Fixed ! Works perfectly, Saved me a big headache and lots of $ I recommend this seller and will buy from if need be again 👍

This is the newer better version per skutt. I installed by enlarging the hole with a 1/2" wood drill bit, the kiln walls are very soft and I turned the drill with my hand. Easy to connect and my first firing went perfectly. The old style thermostat I replaced was firing 1-2 cones higher, this one was right on.
Replaced spare thermocouple for my Skutt kiln. The spare reduced down time when a 9999 error appears on the led display.
